How to change your server name
In this tutorial we will explain how to change your server name for the FiveM server list.
Login on your game panel
In the server overview, click on the name of your server.
Go to the Startup Settings
Locate the Server Hostname setting and edit the text box to whatever you want to call your server in your server overview once someone clicked on your server.
Then go to the Files
Open the server.cfg file
Look for these 2 lines
^^ These should be near eachother, if you can't find them add them yourself.
The sets sv_projectName "My new FiveM server" is the name that will be shown in the server list. Change the "My new FiveM server" to your server name. (Make sure to keep the 2 " quotes, and enter your server name between them. And do NOT use any special characters in this name)
The sets sv_projectDesc "A description for you server" is the description for your server, this will also be shown in the FiveM server list near your sv_projectName. Change the "A description for you server" to the desired description of your server. (Again make sure to keep the 2 " quotes, and enter your server description between them. And do NOT use any special characters in the description!)
Now click on Save content at the bottom left to save the file.
Restart your server!
Now if you did everything right you should see your server in the server list with these names you filled in! (If your server isn't listed, make sure to check if you are using any not allowed emoji's in your server name)
