How do I add mods to my ARK server?

In this tutorial we will add the S+ mod but there are alot of other mods available!


  1. Search for your mod on the internet.
  2. Copy the ID of the mod. You can find this in the URL of the page on the steamcommunity.com website. The ID for the S+ mod is 731604991.


  1. Go to your control panel
  2. In the server list click on your ARK server
  3. Open the GameUserSettings.ini
  4. If you didn't added the ActiveMods= variable yet, please add ActiveMods= under [ServerSettings]


  1. Behind the ActiveMods= variable add the mod ID followed by a comma ,

  1. Click on the SAVE CONTENT button.
  2. Start your server
